With the risks:
1. if the cord has some openings, like rat bites, it sparks when it touches the water. worse if the two lines of wires have openings that get wet, your electricl connection will be shorted.
2. if that wre opening goes to water, and you are within the water's reach (continuous), that's when you get electrocuted.
