What do you do if your hair dryer stops blowing hot air?

My hairdryer still works, but it only blows cool/regular temperature air. I need hot air to straighten my hair, but it doesn't seem to be working. Is there anything that I may be able to do to fix it before going out and buying a new one?

I would just go buy a new one, the heater coil went in it and you would have to replace the coil, better and better priced to just get a new one.

afraid you need to buy a new one. hairdryers contain a filament which heats the air as it blows. the filament as gone I'm sorry to say.

Well not really. If it is dead, then it is dead! But if you use your hairdryer to straighten your hair, try getting a straightener! If you can afford it, get a CHI ($120). They last for like 3 years and they come with a 1 year guarantee. I've had mine for 2 years and it still works great! Also get Pantene Pro-V protection spray (or other heat protection sprays). If you cant afford the CHI straightener, get a cheaper one. Go to Target, Walmart, etc. They have ones from $15-$60! (try not to get the $15 one! If you dont want to get a straightener, then get another hairdryer. And no, you cannot fix your hairdryer...
