Does a blow dryer harm the hair? if yes, in what way?

yes,it can.but if you don't use it to often and use a lot of conditioner it should be fine. Just like curling and straightening you have to be careful because of the heat.It can burn certain parts of your hair like the tips.Sometimes you can get split ends from this.Just use lots of conditioner and limit your use and your hair should be fine.

Does a blow dryer harm the hair? if yes, in what way?

yes, the heat damages the particles

Does a blow dryer harm the hair? if yes, in what way?

to much use at a time can burn your hair

Does a blow dryer harm the hair? if yes, in what way?

hmm, your blowing hot air into your wet hair...

Does a blow dryer harm the hair? if yes, in what way?

yes... if your not careful about how you use the blow dryer you can seriously damage your hair because of the heat... it can dry out and break your hair.

Does a blow dryer harm the hair? if yes, in what way?

you could go with a straightner if you choose but I really recomend a product called "Straight" by bumble and bumble you really don't need a straightner just a hair dryer and it protects your hair with 7 silicones (makes your hair like silk). I bought a CHI and barely use it now that I found this. http://www.bumbleandbumble.com/ the site has a store locator (you can only buy it at select salons) it's slightly pricey but cheaper than a straightner and lasts forever.

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

I use both. I put the conditioner on, cover with a plastic cap, then go under the dryer.

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

plastic cap.

My hair was dead...i dyed it 5 times in one week and it was toast...i got this stuff called KPAK.... its crazyyyy expensive but it works sooooooo good...

45$ for 6 ounces but truly the most amazing conditioner out there... and it smells amazing.

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

I would say a plastic wrap.. cuz plastic helps hold the moisture in.. if you get under a dryer i would think your conditioner will also dry (partially) into your hair!

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

Either way is good, but a plastic cap is when you use your body's natural heat to penetrate the conditioner. under the dryer is if you are in a hurry and the heat from the dryer does it. a plastic cap is still placed on the head for this and the dryer heat is sot of soothing.

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

Conditioning is a base acid reaction that reacts the best and quickest with heat. You really want to get your hair good and hot and moist with hot water in the shower for the best result.

The pH chemical reaction takes about 3 minutes after that there is no more base/acid to level so after about 5 minutes thats all thats going to happen. Re-conditioning doesn't work either because there is nothing else to balance. It's like how bleach only works for about an hour, after that its oxidized and thats all the bleaching it's going to do!

Oh and there is no such thing as a conditioner and shampoo in one because shampoo is an acid and conditioner is a base, they would cancel each other out before they even touched your hair.

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

Most of the time I use both and when I go to the hairdresser for a conditioning they use both. I think the conditioning is deeper when use both.

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

I think you should try nexxus leave in shampoo i actually let it sit in my hair for a few minutes then i rinse it out and my hair is soft and shiny after, as for other conditioners and leave ins i'm not sure they'll actually work ( what conditioner do you plan on using, check the back of the bottle they'll usually tell what's the best way to use it.

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

You could condition it and put the plastic cap over it, then wrap it in a towel heated in the dryer. It's less work. (:

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

Much better to use a plastic cap - wrap your hair in plastic then put a towel around your head (on top of the plastic) then use a dryer for a bit of heat.

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

I suggest using both............

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

you supposed to put the plastic cap on,

then process under a dryer.

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

plastic cap me and my mom do it that way it gives you a really great deep conditioning

Is it better to condition your hair under a dryer or with just a plastic cap?

Condition your hair under a plastic cap. Your hair might get damage if you do it under a dryer.

Well what is with the sheets we put in the dryer with the hair?

i was told that u should rub those sheets in ur hair but i dnt know how does it help?

Well what is with the sheets we put in the dryer with the hair?

If you have a lot of static electricity in your hair, from brushing, rubbing an unused dryer sheet over your hair will remove the static electricity.

Well what is with the sheets we put in the dryer with the hair?

Rubbing the sheets in your hair stops the fly-aways you may have in your hair. it removes the static from your hair just as in your clothes.

Does anyone know of a good hair blow dryer to buy or brand? Ive gone through 3 in the past couple ye

always break on me for no apparent reason! any recommendations greatly appreciated :)

Does anyone know of a good hair blow dryer to buy or brand? Ive gone through 3 in the past couple years, they?

whatever your do just make sure you get one that has ION drying...it will say on the box.

it might dry your hair a lil bit slower, but you will get more volume and your hair will be a lot healthier. :]

Does anyone know of a good hair blow dryer to buy or brand? Ive gone through 3 in the past couple years, they?

i've had my revlon for years.

Does anyone know of a good hair blow dryer to buy or brand? Ive gone through 3 in the past couple years, they?

I'd spend the extra money for a chi or t3. They are excellent dryers, and have at least a year warranty.

Does anyone know of a good hair blow dryer to buy or brand? Ive gone through 3 in the past couple years, they?

Don't buy the kind with a switch that you flip like a light switch: buy the kind with a flat swicth that slides on and off, they last longer.

Does anyone know of a good hair blow dryer to buy or brand? Ive gone through 3 in the past couple years, they?

I have always used conair blow dryers. They have always seemed to last for me I've had mine now from about 3 years and it works fine.

Does anyone know of a good hair blow dryer to buy or brand? Ive gone through 3 in the past couple years, they?

Definitely buy an ionic one, it's much better for your hair.

Anyways, Revlon's are good if you're on a budget.

If you can splurge, T3's are amazing. They can be found at Sephora.com and in store at Sephora!

Hope that helps!

Does anyone know of a good hair blow dryer to buy or brand? Ive gone through 3 in the past couple years, they?

Conair! Not the standard one you buy in the drugstore. Go to a beauty supply store and buy the one that says Professional. These have a heavy duty motor that stands up to repeated use.

Does anyone know of a good hair blow dryer to buy or brand? Ive gone through 3 in the past couple years, they?

I have the Conair Ionic Cord Keeper Hair Dryer. I love it and have had it for years. I can take it with me when I travel, it folds down.

How can i straighten my hair with a blow dryer and a straightening iron without causing it to frizz?

I usually put some kind of product in my hair before i blow-dry it. For me is works wonderfully.

Straightening Cream/Balm

Hairspray (works GREAT!)

Or it could be the type of brush you use, or the way you blow-dry your hair. Try blowdrying it with a flat brush.. and blowdry downwards. atleast, it works for me!

How can i straighten my hair with a blow dryer and a straightening iron without causing it to frizz?

You'll want to protect your hair from the heat to keep it from frizzing. I would suggest using a pure silicone product like Simply Stylin' Silk that doesn't have any alcohol or other fillers. It will coat the hair and prevent heat from penetrating the hair shaft. You'll wind up with straighter, non-frizzy hair. And it will shine really well, too.

Anyone know a really good blow dryer to straighten hair?

my hair is always fizzy after i shower...i need help!

Anyone know a really good blow dryer to straighten hair?

Hello Jen, I'll just give you tips for straightening ur hair...

1. Conditioner for oily hair

I have naturally oily, straight hair and I used a shampoo with conditioner and then applied a leave-in conditoner to prevent static. It worked! I used mousse and a bit of hair spray and was static-free almost all day.

2. static....

i get static hair all the time...for short releif of it, use a dryer sheet. i dont know what it is that helps but it does! don't use it for very long though.

3. Moisturizer for hair Rebecca Featherston

Several years ago I was introduced to SEBASTION Potion #9. This is a leave in hair moisturizer, not a conditioner. It's used in place of, after you shampoo. Use it regularly throughout the winter months and you will notice a difference!

4. Winter hair rejuvination Rebecca

Get your hairstylist to color your hair with REDKIN SHADES...this is a conditioning, non-peroxide color wash, you can brighten your hair color by using the shades and mixing with clear to tone down to an acceptable level for your taste. This is a great treatment for the wintertime, it brightens your hair, and deep conditions it at the same time. You'll be hooked after one treatment!

5. Fly Away Hair

If you are having trouble with fly away hair try this. Rinse hair, after shampooing, every now and then with a good liquid clothes conditioner. It greatly cuts down the static in your hair.

6. Surefire Success

Keep your hat on till spring, maybe early summer.

7. To Fight Static...

I have super long (3 1/2 ft. from crown to tips), super thin, super straight hair and static in the winter is a nightmare for me. I have learned 3 good ways of combating it however. #1 Keep a trial size bottle of a leave in spray conditioner with you at all times (you can buy these in drug stores for pennies). #2 Run a dryer sheet over your hair. #3 Spray something like Static Guard over your hair (this may stink but it's effective).

8. Smooth Hair

My stylist told me that when you rinse out your conditioner, you should use colder water. When you look at a piece of hair under a microscope, it looks like the shingles of a roof. When you use colder water to rinse out your conditioner, it closes those "shingles" and makes your hair smoother.

9. Better hair

Before showering, I comb my hair one last time. This helps to distribute the natural oils in your hair. When in the shower, I usually comb my conditioner into my hair paying special attention to the tips because this is where your hair has less moisture. When I'm done I usually blast cold water onto my hair. This helps with keeping the hair moisturized since it closes the hair shaft and it makes your hair extremely shiny.

Anyone know a really good blow dryer to straighten hair?

wow... nice address... haha.. Tnx for the best answer jen...

PEACE!! Report It

Anyone know a really good blow dryer to straighten hair?

This is going to sound weird but right after you shower, spray in some leave in conditioner or smooth in some hair lotion(I recommend Redken Milk), comb out your hair, put a sock over the end of your blowdryer (where the air comes out, flip your head upside down and blow dry it like that, it works every time.

Anyone know a really good blow dryer to straighten hair?

any hair dryer will dry the hair .. its how the person does it, is the secret

Anyone know a really good blow dryer to straighten hair?

Use a good conditioner and a very large round brush when you dry it.

Do you straight your hair with a blow-dryer before using the flat iron?

I do that even though my hair is just wavy not curly. For some reason it looks better when I blow-dry it straight before using the flat iron. I was wondering if a lot of women do that. Do you?

Do you straight your hair with a blow-dryer before using the flat iron?

No. I am too impatient. If I have to I will blow dry it then straighten it. But usually I dont.

:]

Do you straight your hair with a blow-dryer before using the flat iron?

i jus straighten. it takes 2 much time 2 blow dry. yAdAiDaMeAn??!!

Do you straight your hair with a blow-dryer before using the flat iron?

I always dry my hair before I straighten it. I have never used a hot iron on my wet hair.

Do you straight your hair with a blow-dryer before using the flat iron?

I do, it just comes out softer because your brushing it as you go along. Usually with a flatiorn you just take peices by hand =] Also it make my hair shinner.

Do you straight your hair with a blow-dryer before using the flat iron?

i blow dry it when i take a shower to dry it but to straight it out just use oil sheen they sale it at sally's or a beauty store spray it all over your hair and it would staighted it out better then the blow dryer.

Do you straight your hair with a blow-dryer before using the flat iron?

yeah I do I take about 2 hours every time I shower and its completely worth it it makes my hair look great :)

How can i deep condition my hair without a hooded dryer?

i have plastic caps, but i need to get a hooded dryer, i have a hand held dryer can i use that instead?

How can i deep condition my hair without a hooded dryer?

Yes a hand held dryer will work!

Back when I was young and broke I used to wrap my hair in saran wrap after soaking it in conditioner and then blow drying! Worked wonderfully! haha!

Also you can get fantastic self warming products!

How can i deep condition my hair without a hooded dryer?

You can also warm up a damp towel and wrap it around the conditioned hair with the cap on. Just make sure it is not too hot! You can warm it up in the micro wave or just dampen it and throw it in a dryer for a little while. Using a hand held dryer, you may get some areas too hot around the back of your head. Remember: NOT TOO HOT

How can i deep condition my hair without a hooded dryer?

When I was younger, my mom would fold a pillowcase halfway down and then put over my head, stick the hand held dryer in and then pull the pillowcase tight and blow dry on low till dry. This actually works really nicely.

How can i deep condition my hair without a hooded dryer?

Here is a product that deep conditions hair without a hood or plastic cap.

Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment. I fried my hair with coloring and nothing made it right. Until I used Ojon. It turned my hair from straw to silk. Even my hubby noticed! It's like getting a new head of hair. I couldn't stop touching it and looking in the mirror after the first time. It's really a miracle potion! It does cost a bit more then drugstore brands but so worth it. A little jar lasts forever because you only need a little bit. And there are so many ways to use it. I highly recommend this to deep condition your hair. You will be amazed!

Is it true that the hair blow dryer is worst for the hair than those ceramic Irons ?

If yes why , it doesnt make much sense..

Is it true that the hair blow dryer is worst for the hair than those ceramic Irons ?

Both can damage hair pretty badly. Make sure you keep the blow dryer at least 4 inches from your hair. As with the iron, you definitely need a protecting spray and make sure you don't pause while running the straightener down your hair.

Is it true that the hair blow dryer is worst for the hair than those ceramic Irons ?

Not neccesarily, but remember to use a heating product like tresseme which is about $4 at drugstores. I think it mostly depend on hair textures.

Is it true that the hair blow dryer is worst for the hair than those ceramic Irons ?

it depends on the texture of your hair. blow dryers are used to making a girl's hair look like it's been out of place. ceramic irons make your hair look a bit frizzy. there are irons on the commercials that is used to making your hair look perfect.

Is it true that the hair blow dryer is worst for the hair than those ceramic Irons ?

it depends on your hair and the kind of products you use on it blow dryers tend to dry the hair out really bad thats what causes the split ends. if you don't have to use either one then don't. but if you do just make sure you use a good conditioner

Well what is with the sheets we put in the dryer with the hair?

Does that Infiniti Hair Designer dryer work for black hair?

You know the one with the straightening attachment? Is it any good for us?

Does that Infiniti Hair Designer dryer work for black hair?

Most likely not. It also only really works if you have really long hair. I got it for Christmas and have medium length hair and it doesn't work well for me, nor does it for my hairdresser.

If you hair is really curly it doesn't work well. You have to have a long length of hair to pull through the straightening teeth.

Does that Infiniti Hair Designer dryer work for black hair?

If you're rockin' natural hair blow drying your hair straight is not really the best option anyhow. You could damage your hair with too much heat. If you just straighten every once in a while you should be ok but be leary of doing this too often. I don't think hair dryers are the best source for straightening black hair anyway. If you are going to do it ( I straighten mine maybe once a year for a special occasion) use a flat iron with lsmall amount of moisturizer like olive oil brushed through it.

Volume in hair w/o using a dryer?

What are some ways to give my hair some volume with-out using a blow-dryer or any other heat appliance? What product(s) should I use I how should I use them with letting my hair air-dry to get more volume (prefereble inexpensive ones)? I have extremely straight hair %26amp; even letting my hair dry in velcro rollers does absolutely nothing (it just falls right back to being straight as a board)

Volume in hair w/o using a dryer?

Use any volumizing shampoo and conditioner, then add some lightweight volumizing mousse to wet hair and put it up into a high ponytail or high bun. Let it air dry, then take it down and you should have volume.

Volume in hair w/o using a dryer?

buy sunsilk anti flat

Volume in hair w/o using a dryer?

You should use a really good volume shampoo like Pantene. Don't always straighten your hair it will make it dead and flat.

Volume in hair w/o using a dryer?

Volumizing moose, or they actually have like this heavy duty hair spray type spray that you can use by flipping over sections of your hair, spraying, letting dry, and then flipping back over that my hairdresser uses to create volume without ruining her hair...I don't know the name of it, but I'm sure you could go into a salon and ask. Hope that helps ;)

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

I just recently got my haircut (I grew it out for about 2 years). It's pretty long, about to almost my chin. Anyway I got it cut and right after it was cut it felt amazing and I could run my fingers through it and what not, my hairstylist used a flat iron on my hair and I loved the results, it looked badass! now I've been doing it my self for about 2 months I use "Sunsilk frizzy cream, Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum, and Biosilk Silk Therapy" in my hair after everyshower, I take a shower every other day or every other 2 days. The thing is I can't run my fingers through my hair as easily as I could 2 months ago and it feels pretty bad compared to what it was 2 months ago :(, do tell me what you guys think because I'm somewhat ignorant when it comes to hair, also I only flat iron my hair for 15-25 minutes every other or every other 2 days... it looks a bit dry too! I would appreciate if someone could suggest what I can do to help my hair, I have naturally wavy/curly hair.Chi FlatIron

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

a hair iron + silicone based hair care products = fried hair

Silicones have a low boiling point, and some are small enough to penetrate the hair shaft, below the cuticle.

So, just imagine this.. you apply a product containing silicone, and remembering a percentage of the molecules will be below the cuticle, then you use your hair iron %26amp; boil the silicone molecules.

The molecules above the cuticle are not too bad, however the ones that have penetrated the hair boil internally %26amp; cause severe structural %26amp; cuticle damage to your hair....

the answer - use silicone free products only

hope this helps

((( a hot hairdryer will also boil silicone)))

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

use a heat protecting spray. flat irons are brutal for hair. at least you have the best straightener available, so you should be fine in the long run. just don't put too much stuff in your hair, that dries it out too.

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

Go to your hair salon and ask the stylist what you should do, buy what they put in it.

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

The flat iron is drying your hair and you have to get a trim because it has been two months and it's time.

I prefer the Maxiglide by Maxiusbeauty.com because it incorporates steam to smooth out your hair without frying it like a flat iron would.

If the flat iron has a lower setting, you might want to experiment until your heating level is just warm enough to smooth out your hair without destroying it.

If there is a way you can go a little longer between using the iron, the healthier your hair will be. If you wear your hair flat and smooth, you might want to wrap your hair at night.

You would:

Brush your hair around your head and pin it up with flat hair clips. Then, tie your hair with a silk or satin scarf.

In the morning, let your hair down and comb and lightly brush your hair into your style.

Your products are fine but be careful handling the flat iron.

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

before drying your hair, make sure to apply a moisturizer on it to prevent it from drying out while straightening it.

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

You are likely over moisturizing. Believe it or not too much moisturizer can make your hair feel "dry". All heat sources will damage your hair. Even though you do not use it for long periods or everday you hair is not living, it is a dead extension made of protein just as your nails are. Every time you apply heat, the damage progresses and cannot be reversed. You can mask the damage but growing new hair is the only way to remove it. Use one simple mositurizer on your hair after washing and rinse thoroughly. You can use a heavier conditioner once a week or every other week as a treatment to help smooth the damaged hair. I would limit the heat source to avoid more damage.

My Hair Feels and Looks Dryer Than Before?

The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.

If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.

The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

Will getting a blow dryer and an hair starghtener for $5 each, ruin my hair?

I use hair protection spray though?

Will getting a blow dryer and an hair starghtener for $5 each, ruin my hair?

no. why should it? its the heat that will damage it. so as long as you use heat protectants and dont use heat on your hair every single day, you should be good.

Will getting a blow dryer and an hair starghtener for $5 each, ruin my hair?

Them being 5 dollars has nothing to do with whether it will ruin your hair or not. A straightener period damages your hair. I also use hair protection spray and ever since I have been straightening my hair I have noticed that my ends get split and dry much quicker after a hair cut then they used to.

Will getting a blow dryer and an hair starghtener for $5 each, ruin my hair?

it depends what the brand of the hairstraightener and blowdryer is i guess.

but most probably not.

Will getting a blow dryer and an hair starghtener for $5 each, ruin my hair?

what? what does that have to do with anything the only thing i would worry about is if your getting them for 5 dollars each do they work properly. or are they going to burn your hair off

Will getting a blow dryer and an hair starghtener for $5 each, ruin my hair?

I'd have to say yeah they would... When dealing with heat styling tools it's always best to invest in good quality products... Unfortunately no protection spray in the world can protect your tresses from and cheap styling tool that's outta control!

Will getting a blow dryer and an hair starghtener for $5 each, ruin my hair?

It has nothing to do with the price, though I may consider buying one twenty or thirty dollars more just get better results, because it may take longer with a cheap one.

Just make sure to wash your hair daily and remember to use hair serum and protection.

-KIERSTY%26lt; 3

Will getting a blow dryer and an hair starghtener for $5 each, ruin my hair?

Do u mean because they are so cheap?? I don't think that will really have much to do with it.. Straightening does damage your hair tho, as does blow drying but as long as u use the heat protection spray u should b fine :-)

Will getting a blow dryer and an hair starghtener for $5 each, ruin my hair?

all straighteners are bad for your hair it doesnt matter how much they cost just use a heat protecter and u will be fine =]

I have a blow dryer and i need advice if i should add a creme to help me straigten my hair?

my blow dryer doesnt work as good and my hair is kinda damaged.. i dont know if its my hair or me but does anyone know a good creme to try?

I have a blow dryer and i need advice if i should add a creme to help me straigten my hair?

i use l'oreal tec, hot style iron finish. , its in a black bottle. You put it on after you dry it before you use your straighners. You can only buy it from hairdressers or places like sallys though and it is 鎷?0 a bottle. Theres a similair one out in a pink l'oreal bottle in boots, its the one beyonce advertised a while ago. i've used that and thats quite good too.

You can get it from http://www.shop.edirectory.co.uk/lookfan...

I have a blow dryer and i need advice if i should add a creme to help me straigten my hair?

try using a fortifying hair conditioner. or buy a deep condition to smooth and moisture your hair.

I have a blow dryer and i need advice if i should add a creme to help me straigten my hair?

cremes can make your hair get sticky when you blowdry/flat iron. use an oil sheen spray.

How can I straighten or curl my hair with a blow dryer?

And also how can I make my hair less puffy after I dry it with a blow dryer?

How can I straighten or curl my hair with a blow dryer?

You can't straighten your hair with a blow dryer. You'll need a straightener. You could probably curl it, though. You need a creme to make it less puffy. You put the creme in when your hair is still wet then dry it with your blow dryer. You could go to the store and buy the creme with the less puffy tag on it. Hope this helps.

How can I straighten or curl my hair with a blow dryer?

straight: After you get out of the shower, comb your hair, then dry it with dryer.

curly: after you get out of the shower, put your hair in curlers that aren't warm(or braid it.) and dry with dryer

How can I straighten or curl my hair with a blow dryer?

You can straighten it by pulling it down straight and blow up and down. Just don't let it blow all over the place. Or maybe that's just because my hair has a tendency to stick straight...

How can I straighten or curl my hair with a blow dryer?

If you want to straighten or curl your hair using only a blow dryer, I suggest you use Tresseme thermal creations straightening gel. I use it faithfully five times a week and my hair always does what I want it to. I hope that answers your question.

Does anybody know how to curl hair with a blow dryer and a round brush?

My hair won't curl with rollers, I don't have a curling iron, but I DO have a blow dryer and a round, cylindrical brush. How do I curl it?

Does anybody know how to curl hair with a blow dryer and a round brush?

considering you dont have a curling iron...

when you style your hair with a round brush, always remember, never try to blow dry and style it when its really wet! towel dry your hair... until its a little damp. First put some sort of styling product, like moose all over, not too much though.Clip up your hair half up... the bottom half then you clip that in half.. till you have about an inch section to blow dry... you should blow dry with the brush curling under, or out whichever style is desired... keep doing each section until you are finished... drying from root to bottom in curling motion... (in each section you may have to keep runing the brush through your hair a few times to for it to dry and keep the curl.) you should use a light hairspry to keep the style...

if you decide you want curly hair... you did mention you had rollers.. you may have the wrong sized rollers for the length of your hair... that could be the problem, another problem may be that your not using any product.

if rolling while your hair is wet, try a moose before you put the rollers in... then once the rollers are all in, spray with hairspray.. wait till dry... take them out and run your hands through them..

if hot rollers, use Hot Sets by Redken as a styling product.

My hair is getting very dry because of weather, dryer and iron, What are the best shampoos or treatm

i now use paul mitchell ONE shampoo and instant moisture daily treatment and so far is the best i tried but i want to try something else, there is probably something better out there i never had split ends before and now is horrible i cut my hair but they keep coming back i have tried coconut and jojoba oils and they seem to work but my hair is still very hard to manage without the dryer or iron and sometimes when i wash it is feels dry it can also be the weather i dont know

My hair is getting very dry because of weather, dryer and iron, What are the best shampoos or treatments?

try using anything pantene, i have used pantene since forever ago. i love it, and since then i have never used anything else. i NEVER have split ends, i can go months and months without cutting my hair and its still very healthy, soft, and free of split ends. they also have hot oil treatments. the other products by them are fantastic. try it. they tend to work together. :) also...next time you get your hair cut, id ask your stylist what theys reccommend for your type of hair.

My hair is getting very dry because of weather, dryer and iron, What are the best shampoos or treatments?

try glue

My hair is getting very dry because of weather, dryer and iron, What are the best shampoos or treatments?

Hi...

there are quite a few solution :) so there is nothing to worry actually.

Try to message your hair with hot oil (coconut oil, which you get easily in a asian market) atleast 2 h before you take bath/shower and let it work. You can also wrap a hot towel to get a good result.

Try to use shampoos like sunsilk or John freda with conditioner.

This should help actually :)

take care

jingles

My hair is getting very dry because of weather, dryer and iron, What are the best shampoos or treatments?

Pantene products work really well, I've used them for a while. Like the person before me said, I can go months before getting another haircut, (but usually I don't just because I need my bangs trimmed) and my hair will stil look pretty good.

How well does the infiniti blow dryer and hair straightener work?

I just want to know if it works well for you or not cuz i might ask for it for christmas

How well does the infiniti blow dryer and hair straightener work?

I asked for the blow dryer last year. I got it and it didn't work!

What is the texture of your hair? Really curly or kinda straight. My hair is wavy not curly so it's really hard to straighten and it didn't work at all. Now I just use it as a blow dryer without the attachment. It sounds so great on the commercials but it's not trust me.

How well does the infiniti blow dryer and hair straightener work?

I WANT THAT TOO!! haha. It must work okay because it's more expensive than a regular hair dryer.

How to straighten hair with a blow dryer?

What steps would I take to straighten my frizzy hair with a blowdryer? Would I use the concentrator that attaches to my dryer? Help!

How to straighten hair with a blow dryer?

conair has a new one out it has a comb like attachement and is an ionic one (it makes your hair less frizzy)

How to straighten hair with a blow dryer?

yes use the attachment.. it's great =]

How to straighten hair with a blow dryer?

i would suggest using a flat iron, since it's a lot easier and sometimes turns out nicer depending on how frizzy your hair is.

but, if you want to blowdry it, you should use a big round brush, and start with the back. also don't forget to apply styling/straightening creme at the roots with your fingers. and yes, you should use the concentrator, especially if you have thick hair. the concentrator makes the hair dry much faster.

How to straighten hair with a blow dryer?

I love Kiwis Colorreflector Blow Silk they really soft and straight your hair in No time or you can try V05 Make It Straight also work . You need to put one your hair while it still wet , hope it help

How to straighten hair with a blow dryer?

its best to get one of those combs that connect to the dryer and blow dry your hair with that,...that should straighten it out

How to straighten hair with a blow dryer?

it depends on what kind of hair u have.. i have really thick curly hair and i usually just let it air dry then istraighten it with a straightenr. its hard to dry it straight

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

I already checked tsa.gov and didnt see anything about those things.. I've never packed those two items in carry on bags but this time, I think I'm going to have to.

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

You can bring those. Tons of people bring them through every day.

You can also bring nail clippers, nail files, and liquids and gels such as hair spray and liquid foundation (albeit a small amount) in your carry-on (although there are special rules about liquids and gels - you have to declare them and they all have to fit inside 1 quart sized clear plastic bag and everything in that bag has to be in containers of 3.4 ounces or less)

It's amazing to see how few people actually know what you are allowed to have in your carry-on and what you aren't.

If you have an item that you have a question about, and it isn't specifically listed on TSA's prohibited items list, then it's best to call security at the airport you'll be flying out of. They can tell you if it's allowed in your checked luggage or your carry-on. That's the best way to be absolutely sure. Calling the airline isn't always a sure-fire way of knowing 100% what you can and can't have, because rules do change, unfortunately all too often, and the airlines don't make the rules as to what can go and what can't.

Have a fun trip!

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

im pretty sure u can

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

I know someone who got a gun on.

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

You can bring those but not a nail filer, foundation, hair spray, and or shampoo.

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

yes

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

Why do you need them? Your hair looks fine.

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

No you can't because it's heat related. But I think it matters what plane so call them and ask.

Sorry I asked my dad and he won't tell me why.

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

yes

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

YOu can check the internet addie for your airlines and they will have specific lists of what cannot go on a plane. Many things can actually go into the luggage that is checked in but not into hand carried bags.

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

Why would you need to pack these items in your carry on??

If you are going to be staying in Motels, they all have hairdryers!

Since there is no way you could use these items for any reason on board, I would not worry about haing them in your carry on if you have to.

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

just dont forget your other weapons...i mean they freak out if your carrying toothpaste

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

Yes ! you can carry Hair straightener on an airplane.

Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

Yes those are perfectly fine to bring on carryons. I do it all the time when I fly, after all who wants to pack a suitcase during this season and hope it arrives? I always carry on during all seasons.

Can i straighten my afro hair with a blow dryer?????????

I have found a product that will help straighten your hair and keep it straight for quite a while and it contains no chemicals.

Silk Polishing Hair Serum by Lustrasilk is fantastic at straightening curly hair %26amp; keeps it straight for a very long time (more than a week). My extremely curly hair reverts back to curly fairly easily, so I apply it to my hair before I blow dry %26amp; again when I get ready to flat iron or curl it.

I have only found it in one beauty supply store in my area, but I did locate a website called Texas Beauty Supply.com that sells it for about the same amount I paid. Good luck.

Can a blow dryer damage hair as much as a iron curly/straightener can?

Yes!!! I would spray in a thermal protector before styling my hair. I also let hair dry as much as possible before starting the to blow dry. There are also Ionic dryers with ceramic that are fast and less damaging.

Can a blow dryer damage hair as much as a iron curly/straightener can?

yes

Can a blow dryer damage hair as much as a iron curly/straightener can?

Yes!! Any heat directed at the hair can damage it.. Use a heat protection spray before you blow dry it..I use a Toni and guy one..conditions it and protects it.

Can a blow dryer damage hair as much as a iron curly/straightener can?

Yes. Heat is heat is heat is heat. Although it's not ON your hair like a flat iron, it's still changing your hair's molecular construction. (Yes, that is what heat/moisture does to hair). That's why when you blow-dry or flat-iron your hair too much, it eventually loses its original curl (if you had one).

Rule of thumb:

Everything in moderation.

How do I get my hair not to frizz w/ a blow dryer?

I've tried lots of different products and nothing seems to work to get rid of frizz. I was wondering if it was the blow dryer. I use it on high speed and hot temperature, so mab ee thats the problem. Also, how should i blow dry my hair. Any websites or tips whold help. Thanks!!!

How do I get my hair not to frizz w/ a blow dryer?

Exposure to heat damages the hair cuticle. Since the hair shaft is dead, once hair has been damaged it cannot repair itself. Hair dryers should be avoided but if you must use one use a diffuser and less heat.

How do I get my hair not to frizz w/ a blow dryer?

dove frizz controll works great on all types of hair and it's cheap.

How do I get my hair not to frizz w/ a blow dryer?

serum

How do I get my hair not to frizz w/ a blow dryer?

The heat from the blow-dryer can be frizzing your hair. Dry your scalp, and semi-dry your hair. In order to dry your scalp, put your hair in sections. Yeah, your temperature might be to hot for your hair.

If there is frizz, there Frizz-Ease, gel (apply to hair not, scalp, for it wil cause dry scalp flakes), Garnier's Sleek and Shine, and other frizz/sleek products. Make sure your wash with a clarifying shampoo to remove the build-up from the products (like gel or something that your can use to smooth down).

How do I get my hair not to frizz w/ a blow dryer?

depends on ure hair type for curly hair get a defuser (this thing that hook on the end) if u have straight hair then get a round brush and no matter what u always need to do cool or medium heat for any hair and on low it dries it out

How do I get my hair not to frizz w/ a blow dryer?

try using a diffuser. there may be some that you could connect right to your blow dryer. use it on low and this should help reduce some frizz. also a high quality anti frizz spray helps too.

How do I get my hair not to frizz w/ a blow dryer?

I had the same problem. I find that the more i take care of my hair the wrose it gets.

Frissy hair means cooked or dieing folicles. Don't wash your hair so often, it produces natural oils that smooth out the strands. Also when blowdrying, you have to be very active with it. If you blowdry really slowly, then your probably leaving it on one place for longer then is necessary and that reallly really frizzes your hair. Combing your hair when its wet is pretty bad to .. it just streches the strands %26gt;%26lt;!.

If you've ever straightened your hair you'll remember the hairdresser running the blowdryer really slowly with a brush with your hair inbetween. It works with them because they do put product,

Towel dry it to absorb as much water as possible (DONT RUB YOUR HAIR WITH THE TOWEL PROFUSELY!,). Don't comb your hair unless its one of those proper combs. When you blowdry your hair flick it around with your free hand, that can act as a thermometer. and don't hold the blowdryer to close to the scalp. It may take a while but its worth it. and you'll get use to it so before you know it you'll be a pro.

How do I get my hair not to frizz w/ a blow dryer?

i just put some mouse in mine and brush it while im drying it, hold the dryer up to your brush and keep doing that, only dry the part that you are brushing and run the brush thru really slow, start at the roots cuz the ends will dry really fast

I have a waterproof cast on my foot, can I use a hair blow dryer to try even though it says not to?

well if it says not to then dont! just elevate it and let it dry naturally. if you are in a hurry, sit under a ceiling fan or near a floor fan and let the circulating air naturally dry it. good luck

I have a waterproof cast on my foot, can I use a hair blow dryer to try even though it says not to?

NO.

I have a waterproof cast on my foot, can I use a hair blow dryer to try even though it says not to?

yes you can just blow on low

I have a waterproof cast on my foot, can I use a hair blow dryer to try even though it says not to?

If you use a hair dryer be sure to set it on the cool setting

I have a waterproof cast on my foot, can I use a hair blow dryer to try even though it says not to?

OK, I'm lost, If it's waterproof, then why do you need to dry it? If it does get wet, use a blow dryer on low. It won't do anything harmful. When I had a cast on my hand, I was always getting it wet and I used my blow dryer. Good luck

Help me please!!! On how to get my hair from wavy %26amp; poofy to straight without any blow dryer or straightener?

I used Easy Straight, which is much cheaper than the Japanese straightening. Although it isn't easy on your hair, so if your hair damages easily than I wouldn't use it. It did however make my hair much more managable (mine is super curly). If yours is just wavy and poofy than it should make a really big difference. Here's the site so you can check it out if you want to.

From experience though... if you deside to use this product, do NOT leave it on longer than the box says! I'm serious. It will not make your hair straighter it'll only do damage. And I would suggest having someone help you do it, because it's importaint to keep smoothing your hair down while the straightening stuff is on, and it's kinda hard to reach the back of your head.

Use a straighten shining serum this will help take the waviness out but honestly nothing will work as good as a hot iron straightener.

Help me please!!! On how to get my hair from wavy %26amp; poofy to straight without any blow dryer or straightener?

just simply brush your hair often right after taking a shower or buy special treatments for your hair when you straighten your h air trust me my hair is the same way and for the products go to Ulta or Sally's

go to the store and get a perming box and in stead of using curlers do what the box says and just comb your hair straight untill the time is up. it works i have done it.

Help me please!!! On how to get my hair from wavy %26amp; poofy to straight without any blow dryer or straightener?

I understand what you mean. I go through the same exact problem you do, but I just use my striagjtner..but I wash my hair everyday. Blow drying and straightning does not damage your hair, it depends how long you keep the heat on for that strand of hair. There is no way to make your hair straighten without using a straightner becuase that is your natural style and your body and hair structure is going to stay that way when it dries.

Help me please!!! On how to get my hair from wavy %26amp; poofy to straight without any blow dryer or straightener?

why dont u just learn how to manage your natural hair. thats the best way to do it. your gonna find at least one product in your life if u look hard enough that will produce nice wave and curls for u with minimal frizz. it worked for me. find ppl with the same type of hair like u im sure they will have plenty of suggestions. straight hair is not all its cracked uo to be either. when ur hair grown ur gonna have to constantly go get touch ups and if u dont in time ur hair can fall out. with wavy hair u can be versatile. u can get it to curl, get it to be straight.

Help me please!!! On how to get my hair from wavy %26amp; poofy to straight without any blow dryer or straightener?

you can gel it down and get it as slick as you can.let it air dry and then comb it out. that'll probably be the best thing you can do without ironing it.

Help me please!!! On how to get my hair from wavy %26amp; poofy to straight without any blow dryer or straightener?

there are special shampoos for that. i use.. palmolive i think. i buy them from the asian stores, they have that kind straigtening or for puffy whatever, and it helps a lot! and then i just brush my hair straight leave it there to dry and i also use oil/ soft gel for the frizzies after. thats not too much time is it? although it wont be japanese straight it wont be as curly or wavy if you do these. if you want it japon straight you better go to a parlor or buy a straightening iron. thats the only way for japan hair! but actually i'm assuming you meant korean hair.

Help me please!!! On how to get my hair from wavy %26amp; poofy to straight without any blow dryer or straightener?

Blow dryer mist for hair?

I have very curly hair, that I torture by blow drying it straight. Of course I cannot do it everyday, my hair is so dry, I can go 2 to 3 days between shampoos. Sometimes I wake up and there is some curls in it, because of how i slept on it, so of course I have to blow dry those strands to make them straight again. I can smell my hair burning when I do that sometimes, and I feel it needs something to coax it back into being straight, in addition to the blow dryer. Is there anything like a moisturizing mist I can use on dry strands to blow dry them straight again. I tried water, but I need something more moisturizing. Thanks 11

Blow dryer mist for hair?

Instead of blow drying it you should use the wet 2 straight dryer/flat iron by Remington. And there are a lot of straightening creams that you can by at WalMart.

Blow dryer mist for hair?

Joico makes a leave-in hair reconstructor spray that you could use! It will moisturize and help repair any damage you have done. It has worked wonders for my hair, and it doesn't make it greasy or anything...just soft and shiny.

Blow dryer mist for hair?

DO NOT USE THE WET TO STRAIGHT flat irons, they will burn your hair!!!!!!!!!!! You need to use a heat protector, spray on then blow dry, the there are products to put on your hair before you use the flat iron. I do this every morning for my 9 year old with hair like yours. Nothing will stop it from looking like it does in the morning you have to do some maintenance work but these things will work.

Long Hair on Clothes-How to remove in washer/dryer?

My long hair gets all over my clothes and my kids clothes. How can I remove the majority of it from the clothes while they are in the washer or dryer vs having to remove the hair either by hand or with a sticky lint brush?

Long Hair on Clothes-How to remove in washer/dryer?

I noticed that when I used static guard on fabrics I was sewing, that cat fur just slides right off of it. I was using it because I was sick of getting zapped with static electricity. Maybe that product will help with some fabrics. It was polyester that I used it on. Other fabrics tend not to get static like that.

It sounds like you are shedding more hair than is normal. Just commenting - I used to have long hair too, and it did get on things, but not like it is for you, sounds like. I guess I did favor ponytails, and that probably helped.

Long Hair on Clothes-How to remove in washer/dryer?

Use a vacum

Does anyone know of a good hair blow dryer to buy or brand? Ive gone through 3 in the past couple ye

i've had my revlon for years.

Whats the best product for protecting the hair from the heat of the dryer?

what is the BEST hair product that protect the hair from the heat of the dryer, iron and stuff like that. thanx.

Whats the best product for protecting the hair from the heat of the dryer?

I've found that the Thermasilk line of products works wonders for my hair! It is heat activated so when you use heat on your hair (i.e. blowdryers, flatirons, etc) it actually activates the protectants. I use the shampoo, conditioner and leave in moisturizer and have better results than I do with any other product line.

Whats the best product for protecting the hair from the heat of the dryer?

I'm assuming the straighteners are electrical? If so, there is no reason why they can't be carried in your hand luggage, so long as the bag dimensions are within the airport security's guidelines. Check the policy of the airport security for the airport you are flying out of, either by contacting the airport direct or on-line at: www.dft.gov.uk. Enjoy your hols.

I think as long as you take them out of your hand luggage as you go through security, so they can see what they actually are, it shouldn't be a problem.

I recently flew out to Cyprus, on Thomas Cook, carrying a car battery charger!! I didn't have any luggage, only hand luggage! So, I wrapped it in clear plastic, so that it could be seen clearly, but I also put a label on it just in case it was put in the hold....but there didn't seem to be a problem, they barely even looked at it.

Might depend on where you're flying from, and how strict their security is!! We were flying out of Birmingham airport. You could always ring airport information...they're usually quite helpful

URGENT ANSWER REQUIRED!!! Can you put hair straighteners %26amp; dryer in you hand luggage on a thomas cook flight?

How can i make my wavy hair look neat w/out a dryer?

i have natural wavy hair, and i don't want to damage it any more with heat styling, but without my dryer, i can't tame my wavy tresses. it also took too long to scrunch each section and blow dry it because my hair is very thick.

is there any other way to do it that doesn't involve a dryer?

How can i make my wavy hair look neat w/out a dryer?

Wave it while it is wet and sit under a dryer. You can get finger waves which are generally kind of small or brush waves that are Large. You can also pin curl it. Just put the pin curls in opposite directions, for example, the first one start the pin curl going to the left and the one under it, start the pin curl going to the right.

Selsum Blue will get rid of the dandruff. It's a type of medicated shampoo. As far as the moisture, I would recommend pink oil moisturizer.

I use Garnier Fructice 2 in 1 dandruff shampoo ( that is what my hair stylist recommended ), I have had dandruff problems all my life and that stuff really works, then I use Aussie 3 minute miracle for a deep moisturizer.

What is better for your hair.. blow dryer or infuser and why?

I have been told that an infuser is but I don't remember why. I don't like infusers at all. I use a blow dryer on cool instead of medium or hot and I hold it about 12 inches away from my head. I also don't let my hair completely dry with the dryer. It seems to be working for me - less split ends and my hair is growing longer now. Been doing this for about a year.

What is better for your hair.. blow dryer or infuser and why?

Blow dryer.

What is better for your hair.. blow dryer or infuser and why?

Both will dry out your hair. Let your hair air dry.

I want to buy a hair bonnet dryer, does anyone currently use one that they would recommend?

i really dnt no sorry

I want to buy a hair bonnet dryer, does anyone currently use one that they would recommend?

Check on E-Bay

I want to buy a hair bonnet dryer, does anyone currently use one that they would recommend?

Hard hair bonnets sold in Sally's are good. Now the Pibbs brand (stands on the floor) are the best but pricy. Check online or ask the owner of a beauty supply store if they can order one for you.

I want to buy a hair bonnet dryer, does anyone currently use one that they would recommend?

I like the ones that have adjustable temperatures. You often can buy used ones in salons going out of business.

I am traveling to China and was wondering if I would be able to bring my hair dryer that is 1875 wat

I will be getting the standard converter to plug into the wall, but am wondering if my blowdryer will have too much power for their outlets.

I am traveling to China and was wondering if I would be able to bring my hair dryer that is 1875 watts.?

You will need to buy a converter that is capable of handling 1875 watts, which will be not only very expensive, but very large and heavy as well. If you're from the US, you're probably better off buying a hair dryer when you get there, or as others have said, many hotels supply supply them for you. You can also purchase dual voltage hair dryers most everywhere and all you'll need is an inexpensive plug adaptor if you go that way.

http://www.kropla.com/electric2.htm

I am traveling to China and was wondering if I would be able to bring my hair dryer that is 1875 watts.?

It's not the wattage of your hair dryer that matters. It's the voltage of the local electrical system that's important.

China uses 220 volts. American appliances are designed for 120v. If you plug your hairdryer in without a voltage converter, you will burn it out. A plug converter by itself won't help. That just lets you plug it into a Chinese outlet.

I am traveling to China and was wondering if I would be able to bring my hair dryer that is 1875 watts.?

If you are from North America, your hairdryer uses 110V. If you are from Europe or elsewhere, some countries use 110V, while others use 200V. China uses 220V. You can always use a current converter (NOT only a plug adapter!!!!) to go from 220V to 110V, but I would not recommend it. A hairdryer in China will cost you much less than buying a current converter and a plug adapter. Give it to the hotel staff or a friend when you leave China.

I am traveling to China and was wondering if I would be able to bring my hair dryer that is 1875 watts.?

Make sure you have an actual convertor and not just an adaptor. If you are staying in the more upscale hotels, then they should already have hair dryers in them.

Why does my hair blow-dryer spark blue sometimes?

thats dangerous you should definatly get a knew one

Why does my hair blow-dryer spark blue sometimes?

it's probably old, get a new one

Why does my hair blow-dryer spark blue sometimes?

If it's not Blue Tooth it's a loose connection and should not be used.

Why does my hair blow-dryer spark blue sometimes?

I think it means it's time to get a new one before you electrocute yourself and possibly burn your hair off. Seriously.

Why does my hair blow-dryer spark blue sometimes?

it means that it over heated with also means that the dryer is either too low of a quality to manage the heat or too old. buy a new one. blue sparks means extreme heat and potential danger!~

Why does my hair blow-dryer spark blue sometimes?

SOunds like you have a loose wire in the blowdryer.

You have two options here

1. take it to someone who knows how to work with electrical appliances and have him her fix it or uit is time to shop for a new one. I highly advise you not to use it in this condition as you may experience a shock that can be fatal.

good luck

PS never work on an electrical appliance that is plugged in
