Is it worth buying a professional hair dryer and flat iron?

I've got thick wavy hair, and the regular hair dryer and flat iron(conair) makes it really freezy and big. I really want to buy a chi flat iron, but shoudl I invest in a good quality hair dryer too? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I used to have conair flat iron %26amp; it did NOTHING for my hair. Now I have a chi turbo hair dryer %26amp; Chi flat iron. it is well worth the $$$$.
