Hair dryer question.. what is ION?

My new hair dryer has an ION setting.. what does that mean?

Hair dryer question.. what is ION?

The ION setting on a hairdryer, (sometimes a switch with a green light), is supposed to reduce damage to hair and hair-frizz, as well as reduce static electricity and other possible damage that drying your hair creates.

Hair dryer question.. what is ION?

It ionizes the hair and causes it less static.

Hair dryer question.. what is ION?

an electric charge.

Hair dryer question.. what is ION?

Ion Hair Dryers are advertised to reduce static electricity, moisturize hair and to leave it in better condition, reduce frizz and dry hair much faster than other dryers.

Ion hair dryers are supposed to break down the water molecules to allow for easier absorption - moisturizing the hair.

Hair dryer question.. what is ION?

Static electricity in hair is caused by the build up of negative ions, or electrons. An ION hair dryer disperses possitively charged ions into your hair while drying it, thus neutralizing the static electricity, and reducing static hair.
