Does hair dryer wattage reflect the level of heat, or does it reflect the force of the air flow??

Shopping for a new hair dryer - looking at 1600 watts vs. 1875 watts - wanting something that doesn't blast me across the room, but wanting heat, too! Having a hard time finding both in one dryer.

Heat.

Heat, the most power consuming part of the unit.

It is the total power usage of the unit and you need to know that those little blower motors don't use much, so most of the power is used for the heater coils.
